Pass or Refund Guarantee
How does resu’s Pass or Refund Guarantee work?
When you purchase resu for S$399, you receive Full Access for the covered paper(s) until the end of each confirmed examination day in Singapore time.
For candidates taking both papers, we allocate S$199.50 of your purchase to each paper.
| Your results | Refund amount |
|---|---|
| Pass both papers | S$0 |
| Pass Paper 1, fail Paper 2 | S$191 |
| Fail Paper 1, pass Paper 2 | S$191 |
| Fail both papers | S$383 |
A 4% deduction from each eligible refund covers transaction fees.
This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?
We know it sounds strange, especially since we are the first of its kind on the market.
But we'd like to assure you that there really is no catch. The rationale is simple:
- If you pass: It shows resu has helped. We earn from your one-time fee; you earn it back from closing your first case.
- If you fail: It could be factors out of your control, or perhaps resu simply did not help. Either way, we continue supporting you with the best resources until you succeed.
Our founder went through the exam themselves, and found that the resources out there were either sub-par, or that there was a lack of a support system.
What if I want to retake my failed paper using resu?
If you previously purchased resu and received a refund for a failed paper, you can reactivate premium access to that paper for S$199.50.
Reactivated access lasts until the end of the relevant confirmed examination day in Singapore time and includes the same failure-refund guarantee for your next eligible attempt. Contact support for a verified change of examination date.
- Pass your retake: We keep S$199.50.
- Fail your retake: We refund S$191 after a 4% deduction for transaction fees and rounding down.
You do not have to purchase the complete S$399 package again to retake a previously refunded paper through resu.
What if I don’t use resu for my retake?
That’s entirely your choice.
If you previously passed one paper and failed another, you’ll already have received the S$191 refund for the failed paper after the 4% deduction for transaction fees and rounding down.
You don’t owe resu any additional payment if you choose to prepare elsewhere or stop using our platform.
What do I need to do to qualify for a refund?
You must:
- Complete at least one full-length mock examination on resu for each paper covered by your purchase and attempted at the official exam.
- Attend and genuinely attempt your registered examination papers.
- Submit your original official examination results email (.eml) within 14 calendar days of the release of results.
There is no minimum score requirement for the mock examinations.
What if I’m a new customer who has already passed one RES paper?
The standard first-time purchase is S$399.
If your purchase covers only your remaining paper, you’ll receive a S$383 refund after a 4% deduction for transaction fees if you fail that paper and meet the guarantee requirements. If you pass, no refund is due. Refunds are rounded down to whole Singapore dollars.
The S$199.50 retake reactivation fee is exclusively for existing resu customers who previously received a refund for that paper.
What if I cannot secure an official RES exam slot?
If you made a genuine registration attempt but couldn’t secure an examination seat, contact us within 14 days of the registration outcome.
You can request to carry your guarantee forward to the next available examination sitting or cancel your purchase for a S$383 refund after a 4% deduction for transaction fees and rounding down, subject to reasonable evidence of the unsuccessful registration attempt.
What if I don’t attend the official examination?
A missed examination does not qualify as an eligible failure.
If you have a genuine medical emergency or approved examination deferment, contact us with supporting documentation to discuss transferring your guarantee to a later sitting.
How do I claim my refund?
Once your official results are released:
- Log in to resu.
- Open Settings → Refunds and select your purchase.
- Check your examination details and download your original NTUC LearningHub results email as an .eml file.
- Upload the original email and confirm that the information is accurate.
- Submit your claim.
Once your claim has been verified and approved, we’ll initiate your refund within 14 working days. A 4% deduction from the eligible refund covers transaction fees, and the remaining amount is rounded down to the nearest whole Singapore dollar.
Screenshots, PDFs and copied email text cannot be used as the primary evidence. We verify the original email and match it to your purchase. If we cannot automatically verify it, your request goes to manual review. Track updates and any requests for more information on the Refunds page in Settings.
Will I still have access after receiving a refund?
For new exam-date purchases, paid access to each covered paper ends after its confirmed examination day, whether you pass or fail. A partial refund also ends any remaining premium access to the refunded paper. Earlier purchases retain their agreed access period.
If your entire purchase is refunded, less the 4% transaction fee and rounding down, your premium access ends and your account returns to the free plan.
You can reactivate previously refunded paper access by purchasing the applicable retake option.
