Terms of Use

The terms for using RESU and making the most of your study room.

Effective date to be confirmed

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use describe the basis on which RESU provides its website, study room and related services. “RESU”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator identified in the contact section below. “You” means the person using the service.

Please read these terms before creating an account or making a purchase. Any paid order is also subject to the plan, access period and purchase terms presented when you buy. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data; these terms do not replace any consent required for a particular use of that data.

2. What RESU provides

RESU is an independent preparation platform for Singapore’s Real Estate Salesperson examination. We provide practice questions, case studies, mock examinations, reference material and tools to help you review your progress. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) or its examination administrators.

Our materials supplement your preparation. They do not replace a required approved course, official examination instructions or professional advice. You remain responsible for checking official registration requirements, syllabus versions, policy cutoffs and examination dates.

3. Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep it current and use an email address you control. Your account and any paid access are personal to you. Keep your password and verification links private, and do not share, sell or transfer access to another person.

Tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission. Sign out after using a shared device. Signing out does not erase study data stored in that browser or your saved account history.

4. Using our materials fairly

While you have access to the service, you may use the materials for your own study and make reasonable personal revision notes. RESU and its licensors retain their rights in the platform and materials; third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.

Unless we give written permission or the law permits it, do not reproduce or distribute a question bank, resell our materials, publish answer keys, or systematically extract content using bots or scraping tools. Do not bypass access controls, interfere with the service, impersonate someone else or submit fraudulent records.

5. Questions, answers and study results

Questions and answer keys can include drafts and AI-assisted material. Check the review status, syllabus edition and cited sources shown with a question. We may correct errors and revise materials as laws, policies or our review findings change.

Practice scores, topic indicators and peer comparisons describe recorded activity. They are not official examination results or predictions of a pass. RESU does not guarantee an examination pass. Please report suspected errors so we can review them.

Resetting current answers does not erase historical attempts. We retain the question and answer-key versions associated with saved attempts so that your study history can be understood in context.

6. Feedback and information you submit

You retain your rights in original feedback and other material you submit. You allow us to store, reproduce and review it to operate the service, respond to you, improve our study materials and keep appropriate records. This permission is limited to those purposes and the data handling described in our Privacy Policy.

Submit only information you are entitled to share. Avoid including unrelated personal data, full NRIC numbers or someone else’s confidential information. Examination evidence must be authentic and belong to the person making the claim.

7. Purchases, access and refunds

The price, included papers, access period and payment arrangements displayed for your order apply to that purchase. A price shown on an information page does not itself create an order or grant paid access. Check the purchase summary before paying.

The Pass or Refund Guarantee terms below set out the separate eligibility, preparation, evidence, deadline, transaction-fee and access conditions for that guarantee. The guarantee terms accepted at purchase govern that purchase and take priority for guarantee-specific matters.

We will not use later changes to these general terms to remove an existing contractual refund entitlement. Nothing in either set of terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable Singapore law.

8. Service availability and account restrictions

We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, technical problems and provider outages may interrupt access or saving. Keep a copy of important correspondence and contact us if an issue affects your paid access or guarantee preparation.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address account compromise, fraud, unlawful activity or a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond. Urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action. A restriction does not automatically remove an accrued refund entitlement or statutory remedy.

You can stop using RESU at any time. Contact us to request account closure. Clearing browser data or resetting answers does not close your account; the Privacy Policy explains the separate retention and deletion considerations.

9. Responsibility and your rights

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Study material can contain errors or become out of date, and we cannot promise uninterrupted availability or a particular examination, employment or financial outcome.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to use the service, or for business losses arising from personal study use. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, limits a contractual refund obligation, or excludes any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Changes, governing law and disputes

We will date updated terms and give reasonable notice of material changes affecting existing accounts. Changes apply prospectively; purchase-time guarantee terms continue to govern existing purchases. If a change requires your agreement, we will request it.

These terms are governed by Singapore law. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. The Singapore courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any consumer dispute process or right available to you under applicable law.

Pass or Refund Guarantee — Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before purchasing resu Full Access.

Read the full guarantee terms

1. Purchase and access

1.1. The standard initial resu Full Access purchase is S$399, payable upfront.

1.2. For an initial purchase covering both RES papers, S$199.50 is allocated to each paper before the deduction for transaction fees.

1.3. For new purchases, Full Access to each covered paper lasts until 11:59 pm Singapore time on its confirmed examination date. After that day, paid access to that paper ends and the account retains free-plan access.

1.4. Examination dates used for paid access are confirmed separately from the intended period in your profile. Contact support for a verified registration change or approved deferment. Editing profile information does not extend paid access.

1.5. The S$199.50 retake reactivation option is only available to customers who previously purchased access to the relevant paper through resu and received a refund for failing it.

1.6. Retake reactivation provides access to the relevant paper until the end of its confirmed examination day in Singapore time, unless terminated earlier following a refund.

2. Guarantee coverage

2.1. Each purchase or retake reactivation covers one eligible official RES examination sitting.

2.2. A candidate who fails a covered paper may receive a refund of the amount allocated to that paper, less 4% for transaction fees.

2.3. For an initial two-paper purchase, the refund is S$191 if one covered paper is failed or S$383 if both are failed, after transaction fees and rounding down.

2.4. For an initial S$399 purchase covering only one outstanding paper, the refund after transaction fees is S$383 if that paper is failed.

2.5. For an existing customer’s S$199.50 retake reactivation, the refund after transaction fees is S$191 if the relevant paper is failed.

2.6. Passed papers are not eligible for refunds.

3. Preparation requirements

3.1. The customer must complete one full-length resu mock examination for each covered paper they attempt.

3.2. Mock examinations must be completed before the relevant official examination.

3.3. No minimum practice score is required.

3.4. resu may verify completion using recorded platform activity. Verified technical issues that prevent completion will be handled fairly and will not automatically invalidate the guarantee.

4. Attendance and examination results

4.1. Customers must attend and genuinely attempt their registered examination papers for the covered sitting.

4.2. Examination absence, voluntary withdrawal or disqualification does not automatically qualify as a failed attempt.

4.3. Customers must submit their original official examination results email (.eml) through Settings → Refunds within 14 calendar days of the release of their results. They must also forward the official email from their registered examination email address to hello@resu.sg, including their claim reference. The forwarded email must be received and checked before refund approval. Screenshots, PDFs and copied email text are not accepted as the primary verification evidence.

4.4. Supporting information may be requested where reasonably necessary to verify eligibility or authenticity.

4.5. Customers with an official results appeal should notify resu before the original claim deadline. Their claim deadline may be extended to 30 days after the final appeal outcome.

5. Refund processing

5.1. Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method where possible.

5.2. resu will initiate approved refunds within 14 working days after verification.

5.3. A 4% deduction from each eligible refund covers transaction fees. The refund paid for each claim is 96% of the combined eligible amount, rounded down to the nearest whole Singapore dollar. No other administration or processing fee is deducted.

5.4. Premium access to any refunded paper will terminate once the refund is issued.

5.5. A refund covers only the applicable paper or purchase as described in Section 2. It does not automatically refund other successfully completed papers.

6. Subsequent attempts

6.1. Customers who previously received a refund for a failed paper may reactivate access for that paper by paying S$199.50.

6.2. The reactivated paper carries a new failure-refund guarantee for the next eligible examination sitting.

6.3. If the customer fails the reactivated paper and meets the requirements, S$191 of the S$199.50 reactivation payment will be refunded after the 4% deduction for transaction fees.

6.4. If the customer passes the reactivated paper, the S$199.50 payment is retained.

6.5. Customers are not obligated to purchase retake access.

6.6. Customers who received refunds after failing both papers may purchase a new S$399 package for another attempt.

7. Registration, deferments and exceptional circumstances

7.1. Where a customer cannot obtain an examination seat despite a genuine registration attempt, resu may extend the guarantee or cancel and refund the purchase, less 4% for transaction fees, upon reasonable verification.

7.2. Approved examination deferments may be carried over to a later examination sitting.

7.3. Customers should notify resu as soon as reasonably possible when registration or deferment issues arise.

8. General provisions

8.1. Each purchase is personal and non-transferable.

8.2. False, altered or fraudulent examination records are not eligible for refunds.

8.3. resu is an independent preparation platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Council for Estate Agencies or its appointed examination administrators.

8.4. resu does not guarantee an examination pass.

8.5. The guarantee terms in effect at the time of purchase will apply to that purchase. Later policy changes will not retrospectively remove contractual refund entitlements.

8.6. Nothing in these terms limits customers’ rights under applicable Singapore law.

8.7. Examination result documents will be processed in accordance with resu’s Privacy Policy.
